Episode Show Notes

Show notes – Your Detailed Episode Description

Show notes are your most important tool to document the content of your episode thoroughly and attractively. They give your listeners a clear overview and allow direct access to links related to topics mentioned in the episode.

Many podcasters use show notes to link external websites, sources, and recommendations, providing real added value and transparency for their audience.

What you can use in your show notes:

  • Markdown & partial HTML for clean, structured formatting.
  • For Markdown beginners: use the Markdown Cheatsheet for a quick start.
  • When pasting text from Word or Google Docs, it’s best to convert it to Markdown first using this tool: Clipboard2Markdown.

In many podcast apps, show notes appear as an extended episode description, making them a crucial part of how you present your content.

πŸ’‘ Podigee imposes no character limit and allows you to include images. Keep in mind, however, that shownotes display differently depending on the podcast client, app, or platform, and Podigee has no control over this.
