Episode Permalink

Changing only the slug: If the episode number, episode type and, where applicable, season stay the same, Podigee still finds the episode through its previous descriptive slug and redirects to the current address. This does not apply to changes to the number, type or season.

The episode permalink is the URL of an episode page. You can share it in email, on websites or on social media.

Example: https://yourpodcastname.podigee.io/1-my-first-episode

The slug is the descriptive part of the address, here my-first-episode. This example does not show every possible URL format. Copy the current episode link. Do not build the address from an episode or season number.

Check after a change

If you change the slug or other URL settings, check the current permalink and important old links. Some old links can still work or redirect to the current URL. This does not mean that every old address works.

Update links that you control to the current permalink. If an old link does not open the correct episode, contact support. Include the old and current public URLs.

If you use an external website instead of the Podigee blog, the Permalink field does not apply and is not shown. The episode page link and the episode GUID in the RSS feed are different fields.
