Feed Item Count

The feed item count limits the number of episodes included in a custom feed. Feed filters and sorting also control which episodes appear.

For a custom feed, a value of 0 selects all episodes that match its filters. Do not apply this rule to the separate standard podcast feed setting. After you save a change, open the actual feed URL and examine the included episodes.

A separate feed with one item can be useful when you want to supply only the latest selected item to an Alexa Flash Briefing skill. One item is not a general Amazon requirement. Amazon's Flash Briefing guidance describes multiple items. Flash Briefing and a normal podcast listing are different services.

A smaller feed does not delete the episodes from Podigee or remove copies already saved by an app. Feed filters and item counts do not provide access protection.
