Analytics | Tracking Code
Use Tracking Code to add an external analytics tool, such as Google Analytics, to your Podigee blog. The tool measures website visits with its own settings. This measurement is different from podcast downloads in Podigee Analytics.
Check before you add code
External scripts can set cookies and send data to their provider. Check the provider, settings, privacy notice and whether consent is necessary. Use of the Podigee blog does not automatically make additional tracking code compliant with privacy rules.
Use only code from a trusted source with a purpose that you understand. This field runs script code on your blog.
Add tracking code
- Open the podcast settings.
- Select Blog.
- Put the complete code from the provider in Tracking Code.
- Save the change.
- Check that the code works as planned on the published blog page.
For Google Analytics, use the complete Google tag code for manual installation, not only a measurement ID. See the current Google Analytics 4 instructions. The old Universal Analytics instructions are obsolete.
Before you start, check whether another plugin or script already makes the same measurement. Duplicate code can cause duplicate events.
