Episode Description

The description of an episode is a short text that summarizes the content of the individual episode. It gives listeners a first impression of what the episode is about – and helps them decide whether they want to listen.

Since episode descriptions appear directly below the title in most podcast apps, they should be written in an informative and appealing way. It’s a good idea to go into some detail – but keep the text concise.

Keep in mind:

• The description must not contain any HTML.
• The maximum length is 4000 characters.
• Many platforms truncate longer texts – so we recommend using a clear structure with short paragraphs.
• Mention key topics, guests, or highlights of the episode.
• Write in a way that helps new listeners quickly understand what it’s about.
