Downloads & Streams

Downloads & Streams are the sum of all downloads (fully finished audio downloads) and streams (constantly transmitted audio parts while playing). Our analytics always display these two numbers together (and they can not be read independently). Downloads and streams are also sometimes perceived as "Plays", or how often an episode or podcast was listened to for at least 60 seconds.

Additionally, we are trying to group the number of downloads and streams as precise as possible. This means, that a single person, who listens to an episode within a very short timeframe on the same device, will only be counted as a single download. This makes our analytics far more realistic than on many other service providers.
