Submitting to Pocket Casts

Send a public podcast to Pocket Casts

These instructions are for a public podcast. First, examine Pocket Casts to see if your podcast is already there.

  1. Examine your public RSS feed, title, description, category and cover image. Make sure that at least one published episode plays correctly.
  2. In Podigee, open "Exports" > "Pocket Casts" and start the manual process. Or open the Pocket Casts submission page.
  3. Enter the public RSS feed address. For a public directory listing, select "Public" and use the instructions to send the feed.
  4. Open the Pocket Casts link that you get. Make sure that it shows the correct podcast and episodes.
  5. Enter the public show URL in Podigee under "Exports" > "Pocket Casts", if the field is available. Examine the saved link and the web player display.

"Private" does not activate Podigee access protection

The Pocket Casts "Private" option controls directory visibility. It does not activate authentication for your Podigee feed or add protection to a public audio file.

Never send personal feed links with access credentials as "Public". Do not share them in public. For protected podcasts, read the Podigee instructions and Pocket Casts instructions for protected feeds. Pocket Casts says that password-protected feed support is limited. If your personal feed does not work, contact the publisher.
