What can AI do for you and your podcast?
As a host and podcaster, you’re constantly creating audio content. But analyzing your own work objectively can be tough. On top of recording, there are many additional tasks that are often time-consuming and less creative. This is where Artificial Intelligence (AI) can step in to help. We take the audio you upload and let AI analyze it for you. 
Here’s what the Podigee AI Add-on can do for you:
- Generate suggestions for metadata such as titles, subtitles, or episode descriptions.
- Create a draft for your show notes, including all the links you mention in your episode as well as any ad partners or sponsors.
- Categorize your episodes by topic and break them into chapters, providing you with ready-to-use chapter marks that you can insert into your episode with a single click.
- Identify powerful quotes you can share directly on social media. Sometimes we don’t realize how impactful certain sentences are until they stand alone outside the full episode.
- Provide a detailed analysis of your content: word choice, complexity, filler words and jargon terms, pauses, explicit language, vocabulary diversity, and tone. Knowing more about your own words can help you adapt to your audience and increase the appeal of your podcast.
- Suggest ideas for future episodes, even explaining why a particular topic would resonate with your listeners. All suggestions are “ready to use” and can be copied directly into your editorial plan.
- Generate summaries of your episodes.
- Offer improvement suggestions.
- Show you how often you invite your audience to engage.
With AI, you can save valuable time in your production process, better understand and improve your content, share it more easily, and ultimately reach more people.
How does AI work with Podigee?
In various places in the Podigee interface, you’ll see small sparkles ✨ indicating AI features. If you’d like to use AI, just click on the sparkles and we’ll generate AI results based on your uploaded audio.
The first time you use an AI feature on an uploaded file, you’ll see a note that AI minutes will be deducted. (More about AI minutes below.)
Depending on the length of your audio file, it may take a little while before your AI results are ready.
What do I need to use the AI Add-on?
The Podigee AI Add-on is available as an optional upgrade for all Podigee users with an active plan. The price depends on your chosen plan and will be displayed in your profile and during checkout. When you book the add-on, you’ll receive a monthly allowance of AI minutes as long as the add-on is active. When you use an AI feature, minutes will be deducted from your balance. (See below for more details about AI minutes.)
To power the AI features, we generate a dedicated transcript of your episode. This transcript is securely sent to AI services, using specialized prompts, and we automatically choose the best available service for each task.
How do AI minutes work?
For each uploaded audio file, AI minutes will be deducted the first time you use an AI feature (see the feature descriptions above). The amount depends on the length of the audio file and will be shown in a notification window. The type of AI feature doesn’t matter, whether it’s generating a title or creating chapter marks, the deduction is the same. However, once you’ve used an AI feature on a specific audio file, you can continue using other AI features on that file without additional deductions.
The price of the add-on and the number of included minutes vary depending on your Podigee plan. Your minutes renew monthly, and unused minutes expire at the end of the month.
If you run out of minutes, you can purchase extra AI minutes anytime. A special bonus: when you buy AI minutes, you’ll also receive encoding minutes. That way, in months when you publish a lot, you don’t need to buy both separately. Purchased extra minutes are valid for 6 months before they expire.
