Podcast Suggestions via Feed | Podroll Tag

Podcast Recommendation (Podroll) is a new feature based on the Podcast 2.0 standard. With this tag, you can recommend up to four other podcasts in your RSS feed. These recommendations appear in a special <podcast:podroll> tag in your Podigee RSS feed and can be read by podcast apps or directories.

What is Podroll used for?

  • To promote other podcasts directly via the RSS feed.
  • To point listeners to additional relevant content.
  • To give your own shows or network podcasts more visibility.

⚠️ Currently, you can only recommend your own podcasts that are also hosted on Podigee.
Only podcast owners and organization admins can edit podcast recommendations.

We already use existing data: recommendations from the More from Us section (in the blog). These entries have been automatically transferred to the new Podroll field. Blog visibility remains unchanged: if the checkbox is unchecked, no recommendations will be shown in the blog—even if entries exist in the Podroll field.

How to set up your podcast recommendation (Podroll):

  1. Go to your podcast account and open the “Feeds” tab.
  2. There you will find a new field called Podroll.
  3. Select up to 4 podcasts from your own published shows.
  4. Save your changes – the recommendations will then automatically appear in your RSS feed.
