Add a funding link | Funding Tag (Donation Link)
The Podcasting 2.0 Funding Tag allows you to add support and donation links directly to a podcast’s RSS feed. This way, your listeners can immediately see how they can financially support your podcast in compatible podcast apps.
Using the donation link feature, you can add a URL to a donation or support platform. This link can be applied either globally to the entire podcast and/or specifically to individual episodes. A combination of both options is, of course, possible. Optionally, you can add a short text or title that explains the purpose of the link. A maximum of three donation link entries per podcast and per episode is allowed.
Where can I find this setting?
For the podcast: under the “General” tab.
For the episode: under the “Social” tab.
In the RSS feed, the donation links are listed using the <podcast:funding> tag.
Example:
<podcast:funding url="https://www.example.com/donations">Support the show!</podcast:funding>
Display in podcast apps
Funding Tags are only displayed by podcast platforms that support this feature. Currently, this includes apps such as Pocket Casts, AntennaPod, Podcast Addict, and others. Apps that do not support Funding Tags will simply ignore them. For further information check out: https://podcasting2.org/docs/podcast-namespace/tags/funding
⚠️ Whether and how the Funding Tag is displayed depends entirely on the podcast app used by the listener.
