YouTube Export

This procedure is for the YouTube export that creates a video from an audio episode and images. For a video file that you upload, use the separate YouTube Video procedure.

Create video from audio and images

If the audio export is available in your account and connected to YouTube, Podigee can create a video with the episode cover. You can use chapter markers with 16:9 images to change the image during playback. Start at 00:00:00. Read the chapter marker instructions for more information.

Video creation, transfer and processing at YouTube are separate steps. Completed audio encoding does not show that the video is available on YouTube. Examine the status and video link in Podigee, then open the video on the correct YouTube channel.

Export previously published episodes

First, make sure that the episode does not already have a video on the YouTube channel. Examine other active export connections. Do not start a second upload before you examine the existing publication.

Use the current audio update controls

These steps use the classic view and the audio-to-video YouTube export. First check that this export connection is active for the correct channel and that your account can use it.

1. Open the older audio episode's Media file tab.
2. Select Update Audio to open the update dialog.
3. Review the processing settings and allowance warning before confirmation.
4. If Re-Upload YouTube Video appears, read its warning. This reset is for an episode with an existing YouTube export record. It is not a required checkbox for every first export. Use it only for an intentional replacement after checking the old YouTube video; it can create another upload. Do not remove a working video merely to try this control.
5. For an episode without a previous export, leave the reset unused. Select Update audio file once to start processing.
6. Wait for audio processing, video creation, and YouTube processing to finish.
7. Check the YouTube result in the episode's Social tab and on the correct YouTube channel.

The audio progress indicator can finish before video creation and transfer. Do not click again only because the video link is not there yet. If a required control is missing or an error remains, record the episode link, connection status, error, and attempt time for support. Do not repeat processing as a workaround.

For plans with an audio-minute allowance, reprocessing an older production can use minutes again. The allowance check uses the production's creation time, not just the episode date you display. Read the audio processing and allowance instructions before a batch. This procedure does not promise a refund for earlier attempts.

Before you process many older episodes again, examine your plan conditions and remaining allowances. Audio processing and uploaded video minutes are different functions. If the costs or export method are not clear, contact support before you start.

A connection or a new processing operation does not show that publication on YouTube was successful. After processing, open the video link and examine the content, channel and privacy setting.
