Initial Submission of your Podcast to Platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify & co.)

Before your podcast launch, allow time for processing in Podigee and the platforms' inspections. Submission alone does not mean that your podcast is available there.

Start with a trailer episode

A short trailer can tell listeners about your podcast before you publish the first full episode. Before you send your public RSS feed to a platform, make sure that it contains a published episode that plays correctly. This can be the trailer.

1. Make and upload the trailer episode.
2. Select "trailer" as the episode type.
3. Examine the episode and season numbers for your podcast. The number "1" is not a general requirement for a trailer.
4. Publish the trailer. After processing, make sure that the public feed contains the trailer and that it plays correctly.
5. In "Exports", use the submission instructions for each platform.

Trailer display and episode-number rules can be different for different platforms and podcast types. For example, read Apple's episode-order instructions.

Schedule more episodes

You can schedule more episodes in advance. Allow sufficient time for upload and processing.

At publication time, first examine the public feed and playback. Platforms update their listings at different intervals. Publication on all platforms within one hour is not guaranteed.

If the feed contains the episode but a platform does not, examine the podcast status and current help instructions on that platform. If the episode is missing from the Podigee feed or does not play, contact Podigee support.
