Scheduling Publication in Advance (Apple Podcasts, Spotify & co.)
ℹ️ You can only publish your podcast on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify & co. if your podcast has at least one published episode.
Additionally, the initial submission of your podcast to these platforms can take anywhere from one day to several days. Unfortunately, as your podcast host, we do not influence this process.
Trailer Episode
To place your podcast on these platforms without immediately publishing your main content—like your first “real” episode—we recommend creating a "trailer episode." This serves as a teaser for your podcast, allowing you to introduce your podcast and yourself/your team to your audience while building anticipation for upcoming episodes. Trailer episodes are often highlighted separately on platforms.
To ensure the trailer episode is correctly listed in your feed, you should select the "trailer" episode type and set the episode number to "1," then publish it.
This way, you can place your podcast in various directories without having to start with your actual content.
Scheduling Additional Episodes in Advance:
Once your podcast has been successfully submitted to a platform, you can schedule future episodes in advance. To do this, select the "Schedule publication" button and choose the desired date and time.
When new episodes are published, they typically appear on platforms within a few minutes to an hour. This delay occurs because platforms check podcast feeds at different intervals to update their content. In your Podigee feed, the new episode is added as a metadata tag within seconds of publication.
