Update artwork in Apple Podcasts

After you change your podcast cover in Podigee, Apple must read the new image URL from the RSS feed. Do not use 24 hours as a fixed update deadline.

Examine the new cover

  1. Make sure that you saved the new cover in Podigee.
  2. Open the image URL from the public podcast feed in a browser. It must show the new image without a sign-in.
  3. Use a different file name for the changed image. Make sure that the image agrees with Apple's artwork requirements.
  4. In Apple Podcasts Connect, examine the show status and last refresh. If the feed is correct but the change is still missing after a few hours, select Refresh Feed.

If the Podigee feed has the wrong image, contact Podigee support with the podcast and image URL. If the feed is correct but Apple still shows the old image, use the support link in Apple's feed and artwork refresh procedure.

New artwork on the show page, old artwork in search

  1. Open the show page and check its artwork.
  2. Run the search that shows the old artwork.
  3. Compare the show links to rule out a duplicate listing.
  4. Check that the image linked in your RSS feed is the new image.

If the feed and show page already show the new image, do not upload the same cover repeatedly. If you already refreshed the feed, include that fact in your Apple support request. Send the show URL, search term or search URL, screenshots of both views, and the time of the check. Podigee cannot promise a forced refresh of Apple's search display.
