What Podigee Analytics measures

Podigee Analytics shows recorded downloads and streams for your podcast. The timeline shows when these requests were recorded. The numbers do not show whether a person listened to an episode or for how long.

Select the data to compare

  1. Select the podcast or episode. The podcast view shows data from its episodes. The episode view shows data for one episode.
  2. Select the period that you want to examine.
  3. Before you compare numbers, make sure that they use the same metric and period.

What do the terms mean?

  • Downloads & Streams: audio data sent by the server, after measurement filters. This is not a count of complete listens.
  • Listeners: an estimate of different clients from IP addresses and user agents. A client can be a podcast app. This is not a count of identified people.
  • Subscribers: an estimate from repeated feed requests. This is not an exact count of people who follow the podcast in an app.

Numbers from other platforms

Other platforms use their own data and measurement methods. The delivery route can also change the result. A request for a file on another server is not a request for the Podigee audio file.

Podigee Analytics does not necessarily show every play on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or another platform. Compare the metric, period and delivery route. A difference alone does not show an error.

Available features and history

Your contract sets the analytics features and history that you can see. A different date selection does not increase this history. See Analytics | Available Packages for account settings and plan information.
