An episode is missing from Spotify
Publication in Podigee does not mean that an episode is immediately available on Spotify. This guide does not give a fixed update time.
First check for a Spotify removal notice
If Spotify sent a policy or removal notice, use that notice before you troubleshoot delivery. A moderation decision is different from an episode waiting to be processed.
- Check which show and episode the notice names.
- Read the reason, reference number, and any response instructions.
- If you disagree, follow the appeal instructions in the official Spotify notice. Available options can depend on your location and the decision. See Spotify's content actions and appeals.
The show owner or authorized representative should follow the process specified in the notice. Podigee cannot reverse Spotify's decision or promise reinstatement. Do not try to bypass removal by uploading the same content again, changing its identifier, or creating a new show.
If Podigee needs to identify the affected delivery, send support the Podigee show and episode links, Spotify links, notice date, reference number, and relevant notice text. Remove passwords, private feed tokens, and unrelated personal data. If the notice reached the host instead of you, ask for the relevant notice and instructions. Without a removal notice, continue with the delivery checks below; absence alone does not prove moderation.
Examine the missing episode
- Make sure that processing is complete and the episode is published in Podigee. A future publication time is not a published episode.
- Find the delivery method for your podcast: RSS or the Spotify Video API connection.
- For RSS, open the public feed used by Spotify. Make sure that it contains the episode and that you can play its audio file.
- For the API connection, examine the connection status and the episode status. A queued or sent transfer does not show that the episode is published. Use the Spotify Video instructions.
- Open the correct Spotify show link and look for the episode there. Do not use only search results.
If the episode is still missing, contact Podigee support with the podcast link, episode link, publication time and error message. Do not send passwords or personal feed URLs with access credentials.
Do not delete the episode or create a second Spotify listing to repair a delayed update. After a hosting change, also examine the feed URL or API connection used by Spotify. See the Spotify publication and feed-change instructions.
