My unpublished podcast is still available on other platforms
Use this checklist when you have unpublished your podcast in Podigee but can still find or play it on another platform.
Keep your files while you check
Keep copies of your audio, video, and episode text. Do not delete the podcast or disconnect a platform to test removal.
Check what is still available
- Open the podcast in Podigee and check that it is unpublished.
- Record when you unpublished it, including the time zone.
- Open the affected public show link on each platform.
- Check whether only the listing remains or whether an episode still plays.
- Check whether playback uses an earlier download or a new stream.
- For a platform that uses RSS, check which feed the listing uses.
A listing, playable media, and a file already downloaded by a listener are different things. Podigee cannot recall copies that listeners already downloaded.
Choose the correct removal route
Spotify
Spotify can receive a feed or store copies sent through its application programming interface (API). Unpublishing in Podigee does not confirm that every Spotify copy or listing has disappeared.
If Podigee submitted or manages the show, contact Podigee Support with the Spotify show link. If you submitted it yourself through Spotify for Creators, follow Spotify's removal instructions for shows hosted elsewhere. Spotify asks for the feed and show links.
If you use Spotify Video, tell support. Disconnecting the connection does not restore RSS delivery or prove removal.
Amazon Music and Audible
Check the existing listing separately in each service. A change on Amazon Music does not prove the same change on Audible. Use Amazon Music for Podcasters for the existing show and its support options. If you cannot manage the listing, send Podigee Support both platform links and the current feed address.
Apple Podcasts and other RSS platforms
Check the feed used by the existing listing. For an individual episode removed from an active feed, Apple can update the catalog from that feed. An unavailable feed alone does not prove that the entire show listing was removed. Use the platform's show management or support route for the remaining listing.
For Apple, start with Manage your podcast. Removing a local video file and removing an episode from a feed are different actions.
Unpublishing, cancellation, and deletion are different
- Unpublishing changes the publication state in Podigee.
- Cancellation ends a subscription under its terms. Read Cancellation.
- Disabling a feed changes that feed's availability. It does not recall distributed files.
- Deletion removes content and can be irreversible. Do not use it as a diagnostic step.
- Platform removal concerns a listing or copy at that provider.
There is no universal 24-hour removal deadline. Check the actual listing and playback after a confirmed removal action.
What to send support
Send the Podigee podcast link, affected platform and episode links, feed address, unpublication time, and current status screenshots. State whether playback is a new stream or an old download. Include any previous support reference and provider reply. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or private feed credentials.
Expected result
The provider confirms the requested action, and a fresh check shows whether the public listing or playback remains. Keep the support request open if the requested removal is not confirmed. Previously downloaded copies can remain on listeners' devices.
